Excerpt from the Kelowna Capital News - March 10, 2006
The annual Regimental Ball put on by the Kelowna RCMP as a fundraiser
for the Cops For Kids program was held Thursday night at Prospera
Place. More than 670 people attended the event, which called on all
RCMP officers in attendance to be dressed in their traditional red
serge. Clockwise from the top: Helping kick off the festivities was
Scottish bagpiper Kelowna RCMP Const. Bob Irwin; a host of items were
donated for both a silent and a live auction; Kelowna Mayor Sharon
Shepherd and her husband are ushered into the ball; providing the
musical entertainment was the Kelowna City Band.
